New “Vanished Gardens,” fiction in The Baffler

I write fiction, criticism, and translation.

My novel Redshift, Blueshift won the Gival Press Novel Prize. Recent fiction has appeared in The Baffler and Jewish Fiction, and criticism in Asymptote, VAN Magazine, I Care If You Listen, and the Chicago Review of Books.

I translate from Portuguese, Arabic, German, Hebrew, and Italian. I am at work on the first English translation of Paulo Leminski's Catatau, an excerpt of which is forthcoming from Words Without Borders, and on a novel.
